These pancakes are the reason I got up this morning.... well, sort of : ) It helps to have motivation like this. There is nothing better than a stack of pancakes for breakfast, especially one's like these. I had some apples and pears that I needed to use up and sort of used that as an excuse to be a little decedent. So if you have some overripe apples or pears, dig 'em out of the back of your fridge and lets have a pancake party. |

Apple Pear Pancakes with Glazeby emily The process is basically simple, but you will need a blender and about 6 apples (less if they are large). I used about 7 small apples. Plus one large pear to top it off. Apple-pear Glaze: The Pancake Batter:
For Glaze: For the Pancakes: Add some butter to the skillet and dump three ladles of batter into the pan. Cook until bubbly then flip. The great thing about these pancakes is that they remain decently warm for a time. While the pancakes cook, heat a small saucepan on medium high heat and add the rest of the butter and sugar and water (from glaze ingredients) and boil until ingredients combine. |
