Stupid Questions

Take a look at this link, sent to me by my friend Marian. It is absolutely hysterical - it makes you wonder how stupid people can be! Anyway, check it out, it made me laugh!

Who wants to be the most stylish anyway?

What is style? Who implemented it and who set the guidelines? Was it back when God created the world? Was it He who was the first designer of numerous types and kinds of objects and materials? Well, if it was God, and of course, it was! This would mean that our God is the first stylist and designer in the world! Have you seen trees and grass and snow and water and animals? I'm convinced that we can only imitate, and often times very poorly, when it comes to trying to reach the level of professionalism and taste that Creater must have had!

Damask Storyboard Series 1 - Cake Design

I decided to put together a few storyboards with a taste of my damask obsession.

This Journey is my Home

As I watch people come and go - from the Philippines Mission Trip and the India Missions Trip to the Israel Trip - I feel a familiar urging.

Travel. I want to see something new, go somewhere exotic. Immerse myself in a new culture, and learn about a different way of life. I want to taste a new food. Meet a new friend. Tell someone about my Savior.

Invitation in the Rough

Here's a rough look at our wedding invitations! Of course there will be more to them once their printed and all, but here's a picture of it in the making.

I searched forever and a day for the right photoshop brushes to complete it! I love damask, baroque, and rococo style .... and I finally found the right combination. I love photoshop brushes, but it was very difficult to find the right pixel size in the brush I wanted. I used three different brushes to complete the seamless pattern at the bottom.

I love the feel the chandelier gives to the invitation. I was going for a sophisticated, but trendy feel, and this detail helped accomplish that.

Now that I have them designed, hopefully I'll be able to print, assemble and send them out soon!

Storyboard - Wedding Bolero

My mom and I are designing and making the jacket for my wedding dress .... and we are in the process of assembling ideas and pictures ect ... so I decided to make a storyboard to get a pieced glimpse of what the bolero and some of the accessories will look like. So enjoy!
