Ah, Fall. This year I feel like Fall has passed me in a blurry haze. The days have been more dreary and depressing than I ever remember them, and now that we are finally getting some sunshine all the leaves have fallen! I'm so sad, I was immensely looking forward to taking a gadzillion pictures of cool leaves. So instead I settled for some other things, and the few leaves I could find still hanging onto a semblence of life.

This one I took at the beginning of fall at Vladimir and Olya's house. This is actually "American" corn that missionaries gave them.

Apples, apples, apples. APPLES. ap-ap-apples. (say it with jingle :) These guys definitely have consumed a large amount of my Fall. I added some really subtle texture to this picture that ended up being very fun. Can you see it?

Hmmm... I love a fall color palette. God is the best Designer.

The bark of one of the apple trees at Ratomkah... oh, and check out the sa-weet bokeh in the background.

I can't help it - I love this one... I love anything with focus like this.

This is version A. I loved the color in this one, but I had to experiment further and I think I like version B even better ... Which one do you like better?

So awesome huh? I love how it looks as if it's dipped in gold while still hanging breathlessly on the tree. |

More gorgeous yellows... I wonder how Fall colors can be so muted, and yet so vibrant at the same time? Hmmm, maybe it's just me : )

These are awesome little plants in Ales' mom's back yard that are still alive and kicking, even though everything else is dead... They had all of these gorgeous hues of blue, red, purple, pink and yellow.

These tiny leaves were so chocked full of color and texture. I think God hides treasures in little things like this.

Is this red? Or purple? Or both?

I know it's hard to appreciate at this size, but try to look closely at the background. This is what I live for in pictures (or macro shots) That creamy, watercolor-y smooth bokeh texture. I am in love with it. Absolutely in love. Next up is either Harvest Sunday or a super cool old Russian car ... hmmm, we'll see which pictures I'll end up editing first. (probably the car, because it's way too fun)) |

Beautiful pics Emmaline! You are getting better and better, they are so gorgeous!! I like shot "a" of the leaves, but that blue am I truly a sucker for!
