This past Sunday we made the long drive out to "Jodino" (say is Zho-di-no) to meet with our church and the Jodina church for Harvest Sunday/Thanksgiving. Although I don't consider it my official Thanksgiving, Christians here consider Harvest the same as Thanksgiving. You can celebrate this holiday anytime after harvest takes place.

As it was appropriate for "Harvest" time, there we were also suppose to dress up as "Calhousniks" - which are rednecks. This couple took the cake I think - she even had real vegetables in her basket! It was great! Love the wrenches in his pocket too.

This is Larisa. I love Larisa, she is such a sweetheart and is the mom of our good friend Anton. She had a traditional Belorussian outfit on - very cool.

Calhousnik Group. Nobody could decide who's camera they should be looking at. Seriously, it was like this in every shot. Oh well : ) I'm the one in the back with the yellow shirt and brown hair (yup, it's dark now)). Larisa lent me a "calhousnik" skirt.
